Cold, cold, cold

Jim has emailed me to say he had 17 Redwings  in the next door garden along with the now usual, Greenfinch, up to 4, Goldfinch, 3, although he had 9 during the week, Chaffinch, the first for a while, Blackcap, Robin, Dunnock, Collared dove, Magpie, Blackbird, Great and Blue tit and overhead Black-headed gull (a bit of a rarity over Monty). Thanks for the great photo, Jim.

My own garden visitors today included 3 Blackbirds, 2 Robins, a Dunnock, a Wren, a Magpie, 2 Woodpigeons and a Feral Pigeon.

There were 15 Redwings (maybe the same birds Jim saw) feeding on berries in the front garden of a house in Belvoir Road, but Montpelier station was quiet apart from about 10 Starlings, a Pied Wagtail, 8 or 9 House Sparrows and the finch flock numbering about 15, mainly Chaffinches.
