Robins and Red Admirals

A Robin was singing its melancholy autumn song in Montpelier Park this morning - the first I've heard since the summer break. Nearby at Station Road a smart Red Admiral basked briefly on a leaf but disappeared as soon as I got my camera out - typical. The little path to the station produced a huge queen Buff-tailed Bumblebee and over the footbridge there was a foraging Green Shieldbug which evaded the camera too.
